      Salary Range: $ 87,880.00 - $131,820.00

      Position Summary:

      Exemplis is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Load Planning & TMS Manager to join our fast-paced logistics team. The Load Planning & TMS Manager will oversee the Load Planning Team to ensure optimized daily load plans and timely shipment transfers that meet internal and external customer expectations while at the same time reducing freight cost. They will and set tactical objectives to drive continuous improvement in the shipping operations as well as support the VP and Director in KPI tracking, analysis and project management. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of logistics operations.

      Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

      • Develop and implement load planning strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce transportation costs
      • Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of all shipments
      • Work with carriers and internal resources to ensure sufficient equipment and driver capacity for all pick-ups and drop-offs. Negotiate additional equipment and drivers for peak periods
      • Manage internal driver schedules, routings and dispatch
      • Review SharePoint workflows to confirm AB (assembled in bag) shipping requirements and timing commitments are met
      • Monitor transportation activities, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve performance
      • Be the company’s TMS system super user and administrator
      • Lead the Load Planning Team and leverage the company’s TMS system to generate outbound load plans for all daily outbound customer orders and develop outbound order consolidations to meet savings targets
      • Collaborate with other departments, such as Scheduling, Production, Large Order Team and Customer Experience, to ensure alignment of logistics operations with business needs, and orders are completed in a timely manner to support load plans
      • Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvement & cost reduction and provide recommendations to leadership. Develop and deliver required reports
      • Understand critical transit delays of all outbound truckload shipments and raise visibility of critical issues to internal teams
      • Hire, train and coach the Load Planning Team members.
      • Additional responsibilities as required by the business

      Qualifications, Skills and Education

      Required Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management or related field or work experience in lieu of a degree
      • 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, with a focus on load planning and transportation management
      • Experience with logistics software and systems: TMS, ERP and WMS
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Knowledge of transportation regulations, including DOT and Hours of Service requirements
      • 2+ years of management experience
      • Bilingual – English/Spanish
      • Mercury Gate TMS experience
      • Experience with multiple carrier services such as LTL, Small Parcel and Truckload

      Working conditions:

      • Evening and weekend work as required
      • Out of state travel 2 – 6 times per year
      • Requires some work in Shipping operation in non-temperature controlled facility
      • May have extended periods of standing / walking
